Why should I host my site with Sharp Hosting?

A very good question. There certainly are a lot of companies offering web hosting, including many ISPs. Chances are, you have some hosting space with your dial up or broadband provider. BUT... there are two important factors that distinguish Sharp Hosting:

1. Our focus is on web hosting.
   We don't offer hosting as a side-feature to other services... it is our service. This means that we are committed to it, we are very good at it, and we continue to improve it.
2. Our focus is on our customers.
   We are a small hosting company offering large services. By being small, we can maintain a customer-centric focus. We strive to always provide the absolute best service to all our customers. From the moment you contact us interested in hosting and throughout your relationship with Sharp Hosting, we'll do our best to meet your needs and solve any problems. You can call us by name... we'll be calling you by name. Not all hosting companies can do that!

What are my payment options?

Sharp Hosting is pleased to offer our clients multiple payment options. Our recommended option is to set up your account on a monthly auto-pay plan via credit card. We currently accept VISA and MasterCard credit cards, with American Express and Discover coming soon. We can also set up your account on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual billing cycle. You can choose to pay invoices manually via credit card entry through our web-based billing system. Of course, we also accept checks as payment for hosting services.

How long will it take to set up my hosting account?

If your domain name and account are completely new, the turn-around time is on average one day. In fact, during normal business hours, the turn-around time can be as small as 1 hour or less!

If you are transferring a domain name and/or account from another hosting company, the turn-around time can be up to 3 - 5 days. This additional time covers:

• transferring email accounts (and emails)
• transferring web content
• transferring any additional configuration information (like statistics)
• transferring the domain name

The last task, transferring the domain name, is the limiting factor. It usually takes a few days for a domain name change to propogate around the Internet, pointing to your new hosting account.
